A discussion of God, The Spirit, & Virtue

All spirits have a vibrational resonance, and can be in harmony or dissonance with the Divine Aether of the universe. That doesn’t mean the eternal patterns can be broken, but it does mean that the flow of energy can be sub-optimal.

Part of what makes up a spirit is a flowing field of natural energy. This natural energy determines and is determined by the course of change that a spirit experiences. Do the changes something undergoes improve its ability to work with universal patterns? Do the changes lead to a spirit’s survival and flourishing? As thinking creatures, we can observe, praise, and criticize things we experience in the universe, we even have a hand in causing events to occur, but it also means, we can act against our own interests, and work against God. The scales of Virtue and Sin can help people understand Divine Resonance, to live in better congruence with the structure of reality.

The Path of Virtue

The flow of harmony with the divine patterns of the universe is difficult for thinking creatures, but virtuous behavior can sustain life. If a thinking thing fights against the patterns of the eternal logic of God, then it will cause undue suffering in the world, and scrape by in an unsustainable pattern of survival. If a thinking thing moves willfully in accordance with the eternal logic, then life can flourish, one can accurately and justly behave in the world, and a sustainable way of being is acted out. Virtuous flows of energy come from within, toward the outer world. All good things flow upward, from God of the Aether, through you, out into the universe. All troubles come from energy flowing downward, toward you, and the worst evils penetrate you, going against the flow of goodness, and attacking the patterns of the eternal.

These virtues act as a path to wisdom. Each step along the path is where it is, because in order to successfully embody that virtue, the previous ones are first required.

  1. Sincerity: Act out what you authentically believe to be true, regardless of the consequences.
  2. Awe: Be humbly inspired the beauty of the divine in all things.
  3. Benevolence: Be kind towards all.
  4. Courage: Believe good things will happen.
  5. Responsibility: Take care of yourself, and expand your definition of self to include your world.
  6. Attention: Focus your aim on the most important targets.
  7. Orderliness: Make habitable order out of the chaos of the world.
  8. Wisdom: Use experience, knowledge, and good judgement to live well.

Start with the foundation of all Virtue, Sincerity. Then one by one, if you incorporate these virtues into your daily practices, life will improve. Each virtue is dependent on the previous virtues in the list to remain true, like a circuit. If you act insincerely, no true virtues can be acted out.

I think that if everyone was taught about this process, and acted it out, the free world might actually be set free. The world could be treated like a walled-garden of peace and prosperity. Not a utopia, but a better world, person by person.
